A New York City government agency, the Topographical Bureau maintains specialized topographical and survey maps and accompanying office files used in the production of those maps. In addition, WPA workers and interested staff compiled information about Queens history. Most records date from 1910 to present. There are also a few maps, photos, and land documents pertaining to Queens families and dating from the 18th and 19th centuries.
